Injection Molding Process
Thermoplastic injection molding is a manufacturing technique for making parts from plastic. Molten plastic is injected at high pressure into a mold, which then takes the form of the tool.
The mold is usually made from either mild or hardened steel, and precision-machined to form the features of the design. We provide the highest quality molds available today, with less moving parts to reduce maintenance and repairs.
Injection molding machines have two basic parts, the injection unit which melts the plas-tic and then injects it into the mold, and the clamping unit which holds the mold closed during filling. Once the plastic is injected and has been cooled the clamping unit opens the mold and ejects the finished parts.
